David Pack

David Pack

David Pack is a Grammy Award Winning Artist, Producer & Music Director of Global Events. His career began as the front man, vocalist and guitarist with the rock group Ambrosia popular in the 1970s and 1980s.Pack was co-founder, guitarist and main vocalist for the band Ambrosia. His collected works as a performer and producer have sold over 40 million units worldwide. Noted hits from the band written and sung by Pack include BMI awarded 3 Million Airplay and certified Gold singles "Biggest Part of Me" and "How Much I Feeland Top Ten BMI awarded 2 Million Airplay hit song "You're the Only Woman" as well as co-writer of their first Top 10 hit, "Holdin' on to Yesterday" He also is a Grammy-winning producer for Wynonna, Phil Collins, Aretha Franklin and Kenny Loggins. Gregg Karukas is one of the moist sought after smooth jazz pianists and composer today, He experimented with keyboards as a child, but it was not until his teens that he pursued music professionally. Gradually, he developed a melodic and soulful style of music that made him a mainstay on smooth jazz Karukas strives to write music that evokes strong emotions. His best-known singles, "Girl in the Red Dress" and "Nightshift", reflect a funky, smooth jazzy styling familiar to his fans.. With eleven solo albums and many sessions and tours with prominent jazz artists, Gregg Karukas has established himself as one of the leading musicians in Smooth Jazz.Gregg has been all over the airwaves recently, featured on Jessy’s debut #1 single “Tequila Moon,” and Rick Braun and Richard Elliot’s smash hit “RnR”. He is also featured on The Rippingtons’ latest, Modern Art and 20th Anniversary, reuniting with Russ Freeman, Dave Koz, David Benoit and many other top name musicians who appeared the groundbreaking 1986 album Moonlighting. Some of his recent projects include tours with Rick Braun, Peter White, Larry Carlton, LA Chillharmonic, Java Jazz West Coast All-Stars (Jakarta) and The Tribute to the Jazzmasters.



Patrice Rushen

Patrice Rushen (born Patrice Louise Rushen) , is a Grammy Award-winning R&B and jazz vocalist, composer and pianist. A child prodigy as a pianist she attended south LA's Locke High and went on to earn a degree in music from the University of Southern California. Rushen has many ground-breaking achievements. She became the first woman to serve as head composer/musical director for the Grammy Awards and the Emmy Awards, and the first woman to serve as musical director for the NAACP Image Awards' broadcast, an honor she held for twelve consecutive years. Additionally, Rushen has been the only woman to be a musical director/composer for the People's Choice Awards, HBO's Comic Relief and the only woman musical director/conductor/arranger for a late-night television talk show, The Midnight Hour. In addition, Rushen was named musical director/composer for Newsweek's first American Achievement Awards, broadcast on CBS from the Kennedy Center and she served as the musical director for Janet Jackson's janet. World Tour.Her Top Ten R&B hits, including "Haven't You Heard," "Forget Me Nots," "Feels So Real," "Watch Out," "You Remind Me," and "Never Gonna Give You Up"



Kevyn Lettau

Kevyn grew up in Berlin, Germany and in the age of 14 moved to San Diego California. By age 17 she'd caught the singing bug and began working with guitarist Peter Sprague singing jazz, R & Band Brazilian music in and around the San Diego area.Kevyn got her big break when the legendary Brazilian pianist and bandleader, Sergio Mendes, discovered her (Al Jarreau was a mentor, too). She toured and recorded with Mendes for eight years, developing her own vocal style along the way.Kevyn's first two solo releases were Kevyn Lettau and Braziljazz. They led to critical acclaim and a loyal following both in the U.S. and abroad, particularly in Japan and the Philippines, where she achieved near-superstar status. Her Brazilian Jazz Vocal stylings is always a crowd pleaser.



Harvey Mason

Harvey Mason is probably the most recorded and most influential drummer /percussionist in this jazz and R&B and has worked with many jazz and fusion artists such as Bob James, The Brecker Brothers, Lee Ritenour, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters and almost all the Mizell Brothers productions with Donald Byrd, Johnny Hammond, Bobbi Humphrey and Gary Bartz. He is featured on George Benson's 1976 album, Breezin'. Harvey is also the Percussionist for the Contemporary Jazz group Fourplay, which includes keyboardist Bob James, Guitarist Chuck Loeb and Bassist Nathan East. A music legend Harvey has played on more gold and platinum jazz crossover records than any other drummer. A gifted composer, he scored Only The Strong, Deadly Takeover and contributed to the score of The Color Purple. He has performed on over 150 motion picture soundtracks and played at 12 of the past 13 Academy Awards presentations.



Paul Jackson Jr.

Paul Jackson Jr. is a fusion composer, arranger, producer and guitarist. In addition to being a recording artist in his own right with seven solo records to his credit,, Jackson is also highly accomplished L.A. session player, with a career spanning multiple decades. He has supported artists ranging from Michael Jackson[1] (on the albums Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory and Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix) to Whitney Houston,[1] Thomas Anders and Patti LaBelle, to rockers such as Chicago and Elton John, to jazz greats such as Dave Koz, Al Jarreau, David Benoit, Marcus Miller and Kirk Whalum. Jackson can be currently seen playing guitar in a wide variety of styles on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and was the guitarist for the popular Tv Talent show American Idol for ten years.



Greg Adams

Greg Adams is one of the most influential trumpet players and arranger in pop and jazz.The sound of Greg Adams is one of the world’s best-known musical signatures. For nearly four decades, from the time he first arrived on the San Francisco Bay Area music scene of the early ‘70s, Greg has been a driving force to define artistry that transcends musical genres . From his days as one of the founding members of Tower of Power, Greg has earned both GRAMMY® and Emmy nominations and an International Broadcasting Award from The Hollywood Radio and Television Society. In sync with an ever evolving musical landscape and a life’s work that has included success as an arranger, composer, producer and performer, taking him on worldwide tours and contributing to some of the most important recordings in pop culture.



Everette Harp

Everette Harp is a blues, jazz and gospel saxophonist who has recorded on Blue Note and Capitol Records. With nine solo records to his credit everette has achieved commercial success as an artist. Harp's 2006 album, In the Moment, debuted in the number one position of Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Chart.He continues to play & tour with notables, including Chaka Khan, George Duke, Chante Moore, Anita Baker, Kenny Loggins, Brenda Russell, Marcus Miller, Dianne Reeves, and many more. Harp is also known for his performances with Marcus Miller, David Sanborn and Wayne Shorter. In recent years Harp has reduced his side gigs to focus on his solo career. He will be making his 3rd appearance at the Festival.



Michael Paulo

Festival Producer and Host Michael Paulo is a multi talented artist with ten solo records to date. His most recent outing features the talented arranging of Pianist David Benoit along with a 40 piece symphony orchestra. With over 3 decades of experience in the music business Michael is not only a talented saxophonist but also is involved with producing the Pacific Rim Jazz festival, The popular Grooves in The Grove series at La Quinta Resort and Spa and numerous Smooth Jazz concerts in Hawaii from where he hails. It's through his numerous relationships that the festival is able to bring in such world class talent.He is also an artist in residence at The world famous Jakarta Internartional Java Jazz Festival. Michael currently resides in the Temecula Valley.



Kanzaki

This Japanese Saxophonist is a highly respected and legendary musician in Japan. He is making his 4th appearance at The festival and has always been a crowd favorite, and travels from Japan to specially appear at the event.

Lynne Fiddmont
Lynne Fiddmont

St. Louis native Lynne Fiddmont continues to be in-demand as a vocal ringer for hire for artist such as Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Micheal Buble, Patti Austin, Kenny Loggins, Kenny Babyface Edmonds, Natalie Cole, Earl Klugh, George Duke, and many others. Her solo debut release, ”Flow”, in 2006 gained critical acclaim here and abroad, and is still a favorite today. Her new cd, Lady, is jazz fusion of an altogether different kind. Quite simply 'Lady' is Lynne's homage to the great Billie Holiday and although it is by no means an attempt to copy this timeless vocalist, the album does succeed in bridging the gap between the past and the future. Lynne's creative genius brings the sound of Billie Holiday into the 21st Century. The cd features grammy winners and nominees George Duke, Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, and Billy Childs.
